HOW TO GET RESULT DRIVEN TESTIMONIALS FROM YOUR CLIENTS
That do the selling for you
Listen, I’m going to be sharing some hard truths with you today, since you’re here I’m going to assume you like my tell-it-like-it-is attitude and are literally “here for it”.
Don't worry I am going to be sharing more than some honest truth bombs, I’m also giving you some tips on how to start gathering some bomb ass client testimonials.
When it comes to the website development portion of a project I see A LOT of client testimonials - of course we want to include these throughout your website to showcase the results you are able to provide.
Typically, I am looking for those testimonials that really do the marketing for you. The ones that talk about the real transformations that they received while working with you.
But instead of result focused testimonials this is usually what we end up seeing
“Sally was so amazing to work with, was so nice and helpful. I definitely recommend working with her ASAP”
While this is a “nice” testimonial it is not showcasing HOW you were helpful or WHY you were amazing to work with.
When we simply just ask for a testimonial this is typically what you will end up receiving, but if you are wanting a more result driven testimonial then I suggest providing your clients with some direction.
Here are 3 questions that you can add to your end of project workflow to actually get a bomb ass result focused testimonial that will do the marketing for you and make others want to work with you too!
01. Have you had any massive takeaways? What were they?
02. Before working with us were you struggling with anything specifically? Since we've started working together do you feel as though we helped you solve the problem?
03. Since launching have you seen a shift in your business? If yes, can you please explain?
These questions will allow for a testimonial that showcases a more deep rooted answer and transformation that you will then be able to form into a result driven testimonial.
No, I’m not saying add things that aren’t true or that they didn't say for themselves BUT you can structure it in a way that makes sense and flows. You want to make sure that you are keeping your testimonials short and to the point - no-one wants to read a long ass paragraph that doesn't even provide any real value.
You are a badass and now it’s time to start showing it!
